"I’m Just A Kid" is a distinctive art brand, co-founded by Calvin Jerome, Douglas Gatti, and myself, grounded in the shared nostalgia and experiences of growing up in the 2000s. Our vision for the brand was to encapsulate and express the essence of our youth, crafting art that resonates with the vibrancy and dynamism of that era. Unique to our brand is the richness brought by our diverse backgrounds, with each founder contributing their individual narrative and perspective, enriching the brand's identity and ethos.
The brand proudly stands as a minority-owned business, reflecting a mosaic of cultural and personal histories that influence and shape our artistic direction. Our designs are not just visual expressions but serve as a dialogue with the world, filtered through the lens of our upbringing and experiences. They are imbued with a commentary that speaks to both the personal and universal aspects of youth culture, particularly of those who grew up in the early 21st century.
