As the creative director for the EP "Kayfabe," I aimed to encapsulate the spirit of my youth, infusing it with the vibrancy of professional wrestling. This project was a fusion of various creative techniques - I utilized photography, AI technology, and digital manipulation to craft a distinctive and engaging audiovisual narrative.
A key component of this endeavor involved the use of digital 3D modeling software. This allowed me to design dynamic elements that significantly enhanced the project's visual appeal. I created detailed stage setups, intricate costumes, and even a bespoke championship belt that prominently featured on the back cover of the EP. Both the album’s artwork and the promotional materials were deeply influenced by this rich, vibrant world, effectively immersing the audience in the essence of my vision.
The emotional heartbeat of "Kayfabe" lies in the experiences, memories, and sentiments that fueled its creation, all of which draw inspiration from early 2000s wrestling scenes and styles. The EP's sonic landscape complements this visual feast, blending elements of hype-pop, rap, and R&B to create a unique auditory experience. This project isn't just a collection of songs; it's a narrative journey, reflecting years of dedicated creative exploration and the merging of my diverse artistic abilities. "Kayfabe" stands as a testament to this journey, showcasing the convergence of various creative streams into one cohesive and impactful work.
